It was great! There weren’t many side menu options available, I guess maybe because of the Christmas and New Year period. The beef korokke was excellent. I just wish there were more side menu choices. Thinly sliced lotus root would also be amazing — when fried, it’s like chips but still very Japanese style, also good with sake. Dumplings is also classic combination with ramen. So it would be great if this restaurant has this menu. Overall, the menu is quite heavy, so a small lettuce salad bowl with yuzu or sesame dressing would be a great refreshing option. The ramen was super good. I think it would be even better with a bit of bamboo shoots for extra texture. Most toppings like eggs and mushrooms are quite soft, so adding some different textures would really elevate it.
My first visit here was good. I liked the mushrooms. However when we got back yesterday, we no longer could not find it on the menu. The fries were good, though. Loved it more than my ramen. The noodles of the ramen were not as good. The stock was also not as seasoned. The mushrooms and pork in it though were nice. Meanwhile, the wagyu sando was bland unfortunately. Lastly, we were told to pay for our dessert which we already paid for. What I didn’t like was the approach of having us go on the other side to pay for something when we were ready to go. They did not bother to confirm and presented the eftpos machine straightaway. That was rude. I am usually considerate and understanding but I think we’re not going back. For now.
Best Japanese food and ramen in Canberra! This place is an absolute gem. The food is consistently outstanding—packed with flavour, beautifully presented, and made with genuine passion. They serve the best ramen in Canberra, with a rich, comforting broth and house-made noodles that takes it to the next level. Our favourite entrée was the chawanmushi—silky, savoury, and full of delicate flavour. The staff are incredibly warm, friendly, and always go out of their way to make you feel welcome. If you’re looking for authentic Japanese cuisine made with love and skill, this is the place. Highly recommend!
The service was amazing. Ramen was light and nice. Chicken broth is pretty nice. The noodles taste chewy which is kind of ramen I like to eat. Kids meal chicken katsu with chips was amazing. It's Child friendly place. Easy to find parking and it's near a ev charger as well. The price is kinda okay.
I booked an indoor table. The seating was comfortable and not too close to other tables. The ramen broth was rich and full of flavor—you can really taste the chef’s care. The cocktails were also amazing, perfect for women who like stronger drinks without a harsh taste. The staff welcomed us with warm smiles the whole time. We’ll definitely come back next time we’re in Canberra!
