Very disappointed we came a couple of months ago and a year ago as well and very decent price and food What we had today it was completely different as we tried in the past. Pastor it was just a cinnamon flavour and salsa it’s just chipotle blend it and might have a little bit of Guajillo chile, a zero effort to give a simple but rich salsa roja. As a Mexican very sadly and disappointed experience.

CDMX at Melbourne Central was… an experience, just not the one I was hoping for 🌮😬. I’ve always been sceptical of Mexican food in general. Small portions, big prices, and a near-guaranteed digestive reckoning a few hours later. CDMX, unfortunately, ticks most of those boxes. Portions felt modest for the price, flavours were fine but not life-changing, and halfway through the meal I was already mentally preparing for consequences. But the real highlight wasn’t even the food. It was the beverage incident. Their drinks come in glass bottles with no twist cap, no opener, no mercy. My mate, clearly feeling innovative, attempted a creative opening technique involving table edges and confidence. Bad move. The bottle cracked. Instantly. What followed was pure chaos. Liquid everywhere. Table soaked. Floor flooded. A full crime scene of glass shards and regret 🍾💥. We sat there frozen while the spill slowly spread, knowing this was no longer our problem-solving territory. Enter the cleaning lady, who deserves a medal. Calm, efficient, unfazed by our shame. She cleaned up the disaster while we apologised about twelve times and avoided eye contact. So yes, CDMX delivered exactly what I feared: decent but overpriced food, questionable aftermath potential, and an unexpected glass bottle saga to remember it by. Would I go back? Maybe. But next time, I’m opening my drink with professional help only.

Have always passed this place and though it looks really good and i should try it. food was okay, very meat heavy and not very deep in flavours like other tacos. $21 plus surcharge barely touched my hunger. pretty disappointed, they had old prices out front so when i paid, they only told me they had changed the prices when i explicitly asked why it was more than advertised (kinda illegal to have false prices). They also dont take cash which is unfortunate, but then they have the audacity to have a card surcharge (which was not clearly disclosed when paying, which is currently illegal in Victoria).

Was hyped to finally try the tacos. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I ended up disappointed. Birra tacos were quite oily on the outside and overly wet on the inside, so a fair bit of juice pooled on the plate. Strangest thing were the chips - some of them were piping hot while others were room temperature/slightly cold.

I had some of the best tacos I've ever enjoyed in a long time, and I can't thank Taseen and the crew enough for that. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the vibes were just perfect. It really made my day💫
