We had a wonderful dining experience. The waiters were attentive and the service was impeccable. We each tried different steaks- sirloin, rib eye, wagyu, and T bones. They were all done to perfection. Definitely would come back again.
The food was great, definitely have to try the mushroom sauce with your steak and, being from Kansas City (BBQ capitol of the world...lol), their BBQ sauce is terrific! Sweet and smokey... The service was great and it's a good spot for people watching. Note: If you've not had a rump roast steak cut grilled, be ready for a little tougher cut of meat versus the ribeye. Still good just more dense. Definitely recommend! โญ๏ธ
cairns weather is very crazy so I would not recommend coming to this restaurant on a hot evening, indoor is hotter than sitting outdoors. However their food was average, we ordered a bunch of seafood & meat, everything came out fairly quickly & the staff were also lovely & very accommodating. Dessert was delicious, we ordered crรจme brรปlรฉe & sticky date pudding. Overall we enjoyed having Christmas Day at copperโs
I had high hopes for Copper Bar & Grill but it ends up as a โโmeh.โ I had the ribs and jerk chicken combo and my girlfriend had the 1/2 jerk chicken. If youโre used to American style ribs, these are very tough (a theme we seem to be having with many Australian meats). The sauce was actually very good with a nice flavor profile that was neither too sweet nor too smokey. The jerk chicken was average but nothing special. The dark meat was definitely better than the white meat. Other items included a garlic mashed potatoes and chocolate mousse for dessert. Both were decent but nothing to write home about. Overall an average experience in a very cool town.
Booked for Christmas lunch, service was efficient. I had the special Christmas cocktail Santa hat and love the presentation. Ordered the calamari as starter the light chilli coating was tasty but not sure about the lemony honey sauce it was served with. My partner had the steak which was cooked as requested, the mash was tasty but could be creamier. My main the fish and chips was the biggest disappointment, the fish tasted like it was straight out of a frozen box. When I brought it up with the waitress during payment she defensively said each fish is individually dip in batter and fried. Iโve eaten enough fish and chips to know thatโs not the case. If you want a good fish and chips go to Muddyโs cafe they do it right.
