I was really excited to try this place, hoping to finally find good Latin food on the Gold Coast (which is definitely needed!). I donโt mind paying more as long as the food is enjoyable, but unfortunately, I left disappointed. The food lacked flavor, the portions were small, and it didnโt taste authentically Latin. It honestly feels like someone went to South America for two days, liked the food, and came back thinking it was a good idea to open a restaurant without truly understanding the flavors or tradition behind it. On top of that, the wait for the food was very long, and when it finally arrived, it wasnโt worth the time. The arepa filling was minimal, with very little chicken and mostly cheap coleslaw. The tacos had slightly better flavor than the arepas, but they were tiny and clearly made with flavourless supermarket-bought tortillas. Considering the quality, the prices were way too high. In conclusion: if youโre not Latino, you might find it okay. But if you are, I wouldnโt recommend itโthereโs not much to rescue here: little flavor, small portions, overpriced, and long waiting times. Sadly, itโs not worth it.
Really nice. I will be coming back here, the food had an attention to subtle flavours that other places just miss. The operator was really friendly too. I have finally found an South American restaurant in Australia that matches my picky standards compared to the amazing food I had long ago in places long closed. ๐คค
If I can give them 10 stars I would, amazing food and more importantly the service was great! From the Melbourne family
Family lunch on a Sunday. Our favourite was the chicken wings and beefsteak. The chips platter was a waste of money. Do not recommend. Nachos was ok. Roasted vegetables was very plain.
I had a great time at this attractively decorated restaurant. They had lovely traditional South American food and sauces and latin music to go with it while I had a drink before the meal. The waitress and cook were super friendly and the service was prompt and impeccable. Prices were competitive and I appreciated the spacious venue so there was enough room between tables. I'd go back anytime.
