I’ve visited Mexican Burrito Cantina several times now, and it truly stands out as an authentic local gem. Easily some of the best Mexican food you’ll find in Sydney. The frozen margaritas are generous, with a great cocktail-to-ice ratio, unlike many places that tend to be more ice than cocktail. The restaurant has a warm, homely vibe, and the staff are consistently friendly and welcoming. As for the food, I usually go for the burritos, and they never disappoint. Each of their signature options is flavourful, perfectly wrapped, and reliably filling. Overall, a fantastic spot that keeps me coming back.

I ordered the nachos through UberEats. While the flavor was good, the portion size was extremely disappointing. The restaurant recently switched to a ‘bento box’ container with multiple hidden compartments, which makes the top layer look full even though much of the space is taken up by interior ridges. This feels misleading and gives the impression of trying to deceive customers. I wouldn’t mind paying a premium for a generous portion, but at $46 incl fees, the value simply isn’t there.

First and foremost the lady that worked there was beyond amazing. Very friendly and accommodating. Thank you for making it a great experience. The food was second to none, probably the best burrito I’ve ever had. We ordered a bunch of different food as we had a group of 8 for my sister in laws birthday. The burrito was massive, filling and tasted amazing. The nacho chips were fresh and had a very “home made taste” to them, which added to the value of the nachos. We had a salad also, it was also fresh, nice guacamole and other greens. Another dish was the naked burrito, which is essentially a burrito without the tortilla wrap, just nicely displayed on a plate. We additionally had the tacos and also some beef strips and chicken, almost like a mixed plate. Not even sure what the drinks were besides the tequila sunrise, but they were so crisp, cold and goes without saying, tasted great! Also, can’t go wrong with a mandarin jarritos! Nevertheless, all food was spectacular. Hats off to the chef! The lady was nice enough to bring us a little cake and a on the house shot for my sister in law, as it was her birthday. The atmosphere was very “homey”, which gave you vibes of eating at someone’s house. Very nice setup and the colours were so vibrant. They have a karaoke room at the top, which can be booked out for events. Overall, the experience was great, the service was great, the food was amazing and the place itself was well presented. 10/10 and will certainly be back again.

Mexican approved Just had the best taco I’ve had in Sydney so far — they even have lengua (tongue) tacos! If you’ve never tried them, please do, they won’t disappoint. I’ll definitely be coming back to try the huarache. The tortillas are the real deal — corn tortillas, of course! Staff was super friendly too.
