This was very very good. The service was really good. The food was awesome. We got the squid for entree, and it was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing We all got a steak for mains, and they were all cooked perfectly to our expectations. Very good

Visiting Townsville for Christmas and tried Shaw and Co for a holiday date night. It was a really mixed bag! We arrived at 7:15 and ordered a bottle of wine to start which took 25 minutes to get to us despite only a handful of people in the restaurant. We ordered the Signature banquet at $79pp. The entrees were outstanding, the bread was freshly baked and delicious, the chicken wings were falling off the bone and full of flavour and the arancini’s were perfectly balanced and hot, golden and crispy. Despite being over an hour and a half into our service and starting to dip in energy we were looking forward to our mains which was the porterhouse and rump steaks. Unfortunately both arrived bone cold and overcooked but after waiting so long we couldn’t be bothered to send them back so just went for it but it was ultimately disappointing. The sides of duck fat roast potatoes and Mac and cheese were both well seasoned and executed but again they were cold which ultimately took away from the tasting experience. We then were the last 2 people in the restaurant yet waited another 30 minutes for our dessert which thankfully was an absolutely delicious combination of dark chocolate brownie and a vanilla panacotta. The freeze dried raspberries were a beautiful touch taking away some of the tartness of fresh raspberries and the hazelnuts with the brownies were such a delicious element to compliment the dark dense chocolate of the brownie and the caramel was so balanced, excellently executed. Overall a tricky evening to review with some huge highs and massive lows. But ultimately for the price point definitely being right up there, 2.5 hours for a set banquet and a cold main definitely brings our score down. We’ll happily give it a try in a future I think to see if it was a bad night but maybe this feedback can help future diners. :)

Steak was great, really tender and perfectly cooked. The condiments let down the overall meal. The bernaise was split, the peppercorn sauce tasted like bbq sauce and the chimmichurri was blended which I thought was an interesting choice. I would come back and order the steak again but make some other choices.

The food was delicious. Staff extremely friendly and smiling. We ate the Wagyu steak and were very pleased - great flavor. The only reason I gave it 4 of 5 for atmosphere is all the TV’s. I feel it takes away a little bit from the ambiance. Perhaps a few less TVs or just the large projector.

A place you must definitely try out! Came here for the first time with a mate and it was a public holiday. So wasn't a busy night. Atmosphere of this place was really nice and clean. We try out the Signature Feast $79pp 4 entree - 2 mains - two side dishes - 2 desserts. All of the dishes were delicious!!! Plus they look so nice too!
