Comparing this to Mexican food I've had in the past few years, including one awful one in the city recently, I really liked it. I ordered a bean taco and chopped salad with spicy crumbed fish. I was hoping the fish would be a little softer but overall the complexity of flavours and freshness of vegetables made this pescatarian very happy and I will return.

Came here with the huzz to celebrate her birthday and she loved it ❤️. Only complaint would be that for a place called ‘Taco Maria’ they don’t actually sell a Taco Maria, but a Nacho Maria. Who the helli is that off brand rip off trying to compete with MY favourite Mexican Restaurant? I would give Taco Maria a 6/7 star review if I could.

A warm and family-friendly gem in Kalamunda, Taco Maria offers an inviting atmosphere paired with authentic Mexican flavours. When you get seated, you can place your orders using the QR code at the table and the service is quick that way. Even the staff were kind and helpful. We were especially impressed with some standout dishes – the corn cob and jalapeños from the starters were absolutely delicious and bursting with flavour. Among the mains, the nachos and birria tacos truly stood out and are definitely worth trying. While the rest of the menu was decent, it didn’t quite meet my expectations overall. However, the desserts were a delightful surprise – not only were they delicious, but they also brought a unique twist that rounded off the meal beautifully. A great spot for families and Mexican food lovers alike, with a few must-try highlights that make it worth a visit.

So, been waiting to visit this place. Let’s start with food. Very average, very expensive & sizing is shocking! Vibes & staff are amazing thus given 3 start. Just for food I will say 2! Try 1 time but instead same your money will here are better options around! Pics ⬇️ 16-24 starters 24-30 mains $12 taco each a joke 🤣 & taste very very average!

We had a great Mother’s Day lunch at Taco Maria! The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick thanks to their easy QR code ordering system. The food was delicious—fresh guacamole with corn chips and the fish taco was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of kick. It's a cozy, local spot with a relaxed vibe, and everything came out fast and tasty.
