More people need to go here!!! Amazing taquitos, quality ingredients, freshly made and authentic street food style like in Mexico with shredded lettuce, sour cream and crumbled fetta. Ran out of Horchata unfortunately but looks to be home-made and popular. Very nice owner, friendly and happy to have a chat in English or Spanish si quieres jaja. authentic, friendly and easy :)

By far the best tasting Mexican food in Canberra! Everything was extremely flavourful and we were beyond impressed by the service. Definitely recommend ordering the horchata, a perfect balance with our food!

"This tastes like happiness." Those are the words I often find coming out of my mouth when I eat at Tacontento. It's honestly a taste of home. I've spent a lot of time in Mexico, and I can taste the passion and spirit of it in every bite. It is a cute little food van in O'Connor, with tables and chairs in close proximity. It almost feels like I'm in a taquieria. There are two main things you can buy: tacos dorados (also known as flautas) and quesadillas. You can also get a birria consume that is absolutely divine. Tacontento also serves horchata, which is a Mexican drink made from soaked rice and cinnamon. I highly recommend it. This is real Mexican food. It is different to the tex Mex Australians are generally used to. If you're game to try some authentic Mexican food, try the flavours and see if you like it. Such a delightful place to eat! Personally I am obsessed with the taquitos and horchata ❤️ but pretty much everything on the menu hits all the right spots. I just moved to Canberra and I have been coming here for my dinner 5 days out of 2 weeks (mind you I was away for 3 days 🤣). Also the customer service every single time is 10/10!

The tacos 🌮 here are different to the ones I'm used to. They almost look like savoury cannenoli as they are not the standard ones that wrap around the fillings. Don't let this deceive you though, it still tastes pretty good and crunchy. Worth a try - see for yourself. Regards @fooderarri
